It was such a pleasure traveling to Sausalito, CA for Jen and Chris’ wedding. It was a sensory experience all-round. The scenics were breathtaking, Jen and Chris are both from the Bay Area and could not have picked a more perfect place to celebrate their marriage. Chris’ sister and cousin played the piano and violin beautifully during their ceremony and the sweet smell of the Eucalyptus filled the air. Lastly, the food was amazing. Everything from the “Rehearsal BBQ” to the dinner on their wedding night was delicious (I had never tried beets before and discovered that I love them!). Food seems to be a big intersection in Jen and Chris’ relationship. Jen is a creative through-and-through while Chris, an analytical, process-driven thinker who works in finance finds his creativity in the kitchen. He forages for ingredients and creates delicious dishes while Jen styles and photographs the meal. This kind of teamwork has served them well in their 10-year relationship and will continue to do so for the rest of their lives. This was a real unique experience for their guests as well because many of them stayed at the hostel next door to the the Headlands Center for the Arts, where the wedding was held. This was an opportunity to have everyone in one place and enjoy each other’s company and the beautiful scenery throughout the wedding weekend. We thank Jen and Chris’ families for their kindness and hospitality as they prepared meals for us and treated us like family at the hostel. Enjoy the highlight!
